Install BURG boot loader on Ubuntu:

Hi, guys! As you know, you need to boot loader to load your system, you have the Grup as a default boot loader, but if you need a new nice boot loader you should use Burg.

BURG is a graphical boot loader with nice themes. OK to install it is very easy just follow this steps:

1- Add the repository then update:

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/burg
  • sudo apt-get update

2- Install Burg:

  • sudo apt-get install burg burg-themes

3- Check for installation errors:

  • sudo burg-install "(hd0)"

4- Update BURG and choose your screen:

  • sudo update-burg
  • sudo burg-emu


Now we have installed BURG boot-loader.

We can install grub-customizer to customize your grub boot-loader, just add the repository, update and install it:

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install grub-customizer

Now we have installed “BURG” and “Grub-Customizer”. Enjoy 😉
