Couldn’t set up Steam data

One day I tried to use Steam on my Debian, and once I opened the app, it didn’t work!! -_- , so I launched the app through the Terminal Emulator and found that:

peter@debian:~$ steam
Repairing installation, linking /home/peter/.steam/steam to /home/peter/.local/share/Steam
rm: cannot remove ‘/home/peter/.steam/steam’: Is a directory
Setting up Steam content in /home/peter/.local/share/Steam
rm: cannot remove ‘/home/peter/.steam/steam’: Is a directory"
Couldn't set up Steam data - please contact technical support


To skip this problem you just have to enter these following commands:
mv ~/.steam/steam/* ~/.local/share/Steam/
rmdir ~/.steam/steam
ln -s ../.local/share/Steam ~/.steam/steam
rm -rf ~/.steam/bin

Then, open the app and you will see everything works well
